Applying for a secondary school place

The deadline for applying for a secondary school place is 31st October. Parents should apply online via the e-admissions website by clicking here.

Parents applying for school where a supplementary form is also required should also ensure that these forms are returned to the relevant schools before the 31st October deadline - some schools require the form earlier and so please make sure you check with each school.

Help with checking your distance from schools:

Go to the website by clicking HERE

When you arrive at the website, click >Location, then enter your postcode and then press the green 'search' button. This will then generate a list of schools, in order of distance from your home. You can use the filters on the left to search for school types, e.g. secondary, voluntary aided, etc... You’ll see approximate distances but this is usually enough to see if your home is inside or outside the school cut off distance from previous years. If you want a precise distance, call you local authority admissions team and they can provide a precise distance.
